Why Perto exists

Danger arrives through conversation. And it almost never makes a sound.

Scammers, groomers and abusers all count on the same thing: that no one notices in time.

Your kids

New contactDon’t tell anyone, ok? It’ll be our secret.23:47

It starts with compliments and gifts. Then come the requests: keep it secret, send a photo, meet up. In the class group chat, things get shared that shouldn’t be, and the bullying happens where you can’t see it.

Your parents and grandparents

The son with a new number. The fake bank asking for a code. The link to update your account details. By the time the family finds out, the money is gone.

Someone you want to keep away starts messaging again. Threats, blackmail, pressure. You want to know right away and have everything saved in case you need to report it.

Group chats

The class group chat has 38 people. You’re not one of them.

Group chats are where porn stickers, violent videos, cruel nicknames and screenshots that expose a classmate get passed around. It all moves fast, and sometimes it’s deleted right after.

  • Inappropriate images, videos, stickers or filesAnything inappropriate arrives covered: violent images open with a tap on Complete, and sexual content is never shown.

  • Insults, mean nicknames and public shamingWhen someone becomes a target, you find out, whether your child is on the receiving end or joining in.

  • Ganging up to exclude“Kick her out of the group,” “nobody talk to him”: isolating someone is bullying too.

  • Strangers in the groupUnknown people joining the class group chat or other kids’ group chats.

  • Deleted messages don’t disappearIf a message arrived, it stays available for you to review.

How it works

In a few minutes, Perto is looking out for them.

  1. 1

Add the people you want to look after

Your daughter, son, mom, grandpa or yourself. Each number has its own profile, based on age, and its own plan.

  2. 2

    Connect their WhatsApp

With a QR code, just like WhatsApp Web: you scan the code with their phone, and nothing gets installed. While connecting, you choose whether Perto lets them know. No one from Perto asks for codes or passwords by message.

  3. 3

Choose what you want to get

The profile comes preset, or you build your own. Turn alerts on and off, pick the group chats and who else in the family gets them.

  4. 4

Get it all on your WhatsApp

Instant alerts when it’s serious. A daily summary at the time you choose. If the connection drops, you’ll know that too.

No alarms over a single stray word. Perto understands context: who wrote it, to whom, in reply to what, and whether it’s someone they know.

  • Right away, when it’s seriousUrgent things arrive immediately, even in the middle of the night. The rest comes bundled together, without flooding your phone.

  • How serious, and how sureEach alert says how serious it is and how sure we are. When confidence is low, it says that too.

  • What to do nowSimple steps for each situation, with the right places to turn for help.

  • Daily summaryNew contacts, new group chats, what was covered and what wasn’t. At the time you choose.

Profiles

The right setup for everyone in your family.

The more independent someone is, the less you need to see. Each profile comes preset, and you can switch any alert on or off, or build a profile your way.

Kids up to age 11

At this age, they can’t yet spot a strange approach. You see the context of every alert.

  • Unknown contact asking for secrecy, photos or a meetup
  • Sexual and inappropriate contentIn private chats and school group chats
  • Bullying, fights and threatsIncluding in group chats
  • Gaming scams and requests for your card
  • Daily summary with topics

  • Grooming and blackmail with imagesRequests for secrecy, for photos or to switch apps

Parents & grandparents focused on scams

They stay in charge of their own WhatsApp. You find out when something looks like a scam.

  • Fake relative with a new number
  • Requests for Pix, codes and passwords
  • Fake banks, fake INSS (social security) and fake prizes
  • Warn them too, right when a scam happensWith a message you approve
  • See the messages behind scam alerts
  • See their chatsOnly if they’ve been told about the monitoring.Complete plan

The connection is made with their phone, using the QR code. You decide whether Perto lets them know, and they can disconnect whenever they want, from their own WhatsApp.

Adults you or another adult

For you or another adult in the family, like your wife or husband. The connection is made with that person’s phone, using the QR code.

  • Unwanted number messaging again
  • Threats, blackmail and harassment
  • Scams and requests for money
  • Also alert someone you trustA sister, a friend, whoever you choose
  • Keep evidence for reporting
  • See the chatsIf it’s you, they’re your own. If it’s another adult, only if they’ve been told about the monitoring.Complete plan

They can disconnect whenever they want, from their own WhatsApp, under Linked devices.

Your way build your own

Start from a ready-made profile and pick only what makes sense for each person.

Start from
Alerts in this profile

Starting from the Teens profile: 9 alerts on. Change whatever you like.

These are the starting settings. In your account, each person has their own setup, with more than 20 alerts, each with its own rule.

Privacy

Looking out for them isn’t spying on them.

Your family’s trust is worth more than any alert. That’s why Perto works like this:

  • You decide whether to tell them

When you connect, you choose whether Perto sends them a short message saying who connected it. The connection also shows up under Linked devices in their WhatsApp.

  • The connection needs their phone

To connect, you have to scan the QR code with their WhatsApp. They can disconnect whenever they want, from their own WhatsApp.

  • You choose how much you see

Each number has its own plan. Both plans include alerts and summaries. Seeing the chats is only on Complete and depends on each person’s age. For adults, only if they’ve been told.

  • Every access is logged

If anyone opens a chat or the messages behind an alert, the log shows who opened it and when.

  • Graphic content arrives covered

Images of violence, accidents or death open with a tap on Complete, and the log shows who opened them. Sexual content is never shown or stored: you get the alert and guidance on what to do.

  • We keep things for a set time

Messages are kept for 15 days on Essential numbers and 60 days on Complete numbers. After that, they’re deleted.

What Perto doesn’t do

  • It doesn’t read Instagram, TikTok or other apps, and it doesn’t access calls.
  • It doesn’t see messages from before the connection.
  • It doesn’t block, delete or reply on anyone’s behalf.
  • It’s no substitute for talking things through or for emergency services. The analysis can be wrong.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Will they know you’re keeping an eye on them?

If you want them to. When you connect the number, you choose whether Perto lets them know. If you do, they get a short message like this: “Your WhatsApp has been connected to Perto for monitoring. It was connected by Marcos, the account holder.”

Either way, the connection is made with their phone, using the QR code, and it shows up under Linked devices in their WhatsApp.

Do you read all the chats?

The analysis is automatic, and no one on the Perto team reads your family’s chats. For numbers on Essential, you get the alerts, the messages behind each one and the summaries. For numbers on Complete, you can also open the chats, depending on each person’s age.

Adults’ chats only show up if they’ve been told about the monitoring.

What’s the difference between Essential and Complete?

Both analyze one-on-one chats and group chats, send alerts and the daily summary, and show the messages behind each alert. Complete also lets you open the chats just like in WhatsApp, with search, 60 days of history and deleted messages marked, and sends alerts to up to 5 people. On Essential, alerts go to up to 2. The 1st number is always on Complete; Essential is for extra numbers.

Can I have different plans for each person?

Yes. The 1st number is always on Complete and costs R$49.90 per month. Each extra number goes on the plan you choose: R$27.90 on Essential or R$39.90 on Complete. For example, your daughter as the 1st number and your mother on Essential: R$49.90 + R$27.90 = R$77.80 per month.

In your account, you can add or remove numbers and change the plan for extra numbers whenever you like. The minimum is one number.

Do I need to install anything on their phone?

No. The connection is made with a QR code, just like WhatsApp Web, and it works with WhatsApp on any phone. You only need their phone in hand for a few minutes, while you connect.

How does the free trial work?

You use Perto for 7 days, with your card saved on Stripe. If you cancel before then, you pay nothing. After that, the subscription is charged to your card every month until you cancel.

How do I cancel?

From your account, whenever you like. Your subscription stays active until the end of the month you’ve already paid for, and it isn’t renewed.

What if someone deletes a message?

If the message reached the connected WhatsApp, it stays available for you to review, even if it’s deleted later: in the messages behind the alert, on both plans, and marked in the chat, on Complete. The exception is sexual content, which is never stored or shown.

What about photos and videos?

Photos, videos, stickers and voice messages are analyzed too. Graphic images, like those of violence, accidents or death, arrive covered. On Complete, whoever manages the account can open them with a tap, like Instagram’s sensitive content screen, and each opening is logged.

Sexual content also arrives covered, but it doesn’t open: by law, Perto doesn’t store or show this kind of image. You get the alert, who sent it, where, and what to do.

Who gets the alerts?

You and anyone you choose, for each number: up to 2 people for Essential numbers and up to 5 for Complete numbers. Alerts arrive by email and on WhatsApp, from an official Perto number you can save to your contacts.

How do I sign in to my account?

No password needed: you enter your WhatsApp number and get a code from Perto to type on the website. Don’t share that code with anyone. Perto never asks you to send a code by message.

How do I connect my parents’ WhatsApp?

With their phone in hand, you scan the QR code Perto shows you, just like WhatsApp Web. Right then, you choose whether Perto sends a short message saying the number was connected and by whom. They can disconnect whenever they want, from their own WhatsApp.

Can I use it to keep an eye on my husband or wife?

Yes, the same way: the connection is made by scanning the QR code with their phone, and it shows up under Linked devices in their WhatsApp. They need to know about the monitoring, either from Perto’s notice or from you. Monitoring an adult without their knowledge is not allowed and may be a crime.

What if the connection drops?

It can, yes, just as WhatsApp Web sometimes disconnects: Perto uses the same kind of connection, as a linked device.

When that happens, you get an alert and need to scan the QR code again with their phone. While the number is disconnected, Perto can’t check anything, and the daily summary shows that gap.

Does Perto see old messages, calls or other apps?

No. Perto starts from the moment you connect, and it only covers WhatsApp. Calls, Instagram, TikTok and other apps are left out.

Does Perto replace talking with my kids?

No. Perto helps you know when to talk and how to start. The analysis can be wrong, and it’s no substitute for talking things through or for emergency services. If someone is in danger, call 190 in Brazil.

Stay close, even from far away.

In a few minutes, Perto starts keeping an eye on the first WhatsApp in your family.
